As a collaborative effort with Fendi, botanical artist extraordinaire Azuma Makoto has created the most adorable flower shop on wheels to promote Fendi’s 2016 spring and summer collection, the theme of which is Flower Power.
The pop-up flower shop was built on an “Ape,” a vehicle designed by the inventor of Vespa and produced by Italian carmaker Piaggio. The car was originally made to help the citizens of post-war Italy, but up until April 17, 2016, the car turned flower cart could be found at the Fendi Ginza flagship store. The car was stocked with two limited-edition Fendi bags, as well as an array of Makoto’s flower bouquets ranging in price from $70 to $150.
Makoto is a world-famous florist and botanical sculptor. His past works include beautiful bouquets frozen in blocks of ice and a project in which he launched a Bonzai tree into space.
