The breathtaking photo series known as Follow Me Away captures the essence of wonder, beauty, and desolation. The couple responsible for the ethereal photos, Victoria Yore and Terrence Drysdale, travels the world in search of otherworldly landscapes to capture surreal images of Yore exploring these remote locations in a beautiful dress.
Originally from Florida, Yore, 23, and Drysdale, 27, first began the photo series in March of 2016, but, as explained in their artists’ bio, it was their first trip together in June of 2015 that caused them to realize that they could never assimilate back to “ordinary life.” Armed with just a backpack and a one-way ticket, the couple has been trekking across the U.S. and parts of Europe ever since.
Though the images have a magical, almost mystical, feel to them, Yore tells PetaPixels that the “photos are not staged, contrary to popular belief.” The only “staging” that occurs in the photos is the dress choice. According to Yore, “[e]ven the hair and makeup are completely natural.”
Since their exploration began, the couple has traveled through nine countries, including Iceland, Germany, Honduras, and Belize, as well as five U.S. states. They plan to continue their journey through the French Alps, Normandy, Scotland, and many more.
