What if famous brand logos were affected by the products they sold? That’s the question posed by Italian industrial designer Marco Schembri in this clever series of reworked logos. Here McDonald’s hamburgers give the famous arched logo a bulging waistline, the Absolut vodka logo gives us blurry vision, and too much Starbucks gives you an unsettling buzz.
We love a little logo tomfoolery, and by pointing out some of the less desirable attributes to each brand, this certainly does it. The series is a lot like Viktor Hertz’s ongoing series, Honest Logos, but this relies more on clever visuals than reworked brand names.
Head to Behance to see more of Schembri’s work in this series (we hope he adds more soon!). You’ll find this graphic design is quite a departure from his extensive work with 3D product renderings.
