This Map Shows Every Place Mulder and Scully Went on “The X-Files”

The X-Files returns to Fox Sunday night as a 6-episode miniseries, giving fans of Mulder and Scully their final closure. It’s been a while since we’ve seen the two together, so we’re excited to see them back in action. Over 8 seasons, the duo investigated out-of-this-world happenings worldwide, from Fort Bragg, North Carolina, to Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia. Now, thanks to technology and serious fandom, you can see everywhere The X-Files took place in one interactive map—and we mean everywhere.

It’s a comprehensive mapping of every place featured in an episode, as plot details spanned multiple locations. You can search by episode or by clicking onto the green dot. It also shows you which episode the location was featured in, as well as a plot recap to spark your memory. It’s pretty impressive to see just how many locations were featured, especially in the U.S. The odds that your hometown—or somewhere close—was included are pretty high. (It’s also pretty entertaining to remember the plots, if it’s been a while since you’ve seen it.) Check out the map here.
