Using exactly 215,158 LEGO bricks, a team of 12 professional LEGO builders spent 12 weeks and more than 1000 hours creating a life-size camping trailer. Modeled after an aerodynamic teardrop style trailer, the team from Bright Bricks took home a Guinness Record for “the largest caravan built with interlocking plastic bricks”. I’m not sure how much competition there is for that record, but the results are truly impressive.
The fully functional creation includes working water, electric lighting, a chess set, plenty of bricks cooking in the kitchen and what I’m guessing is a truly uncomfortable bed.
The piece was built to celebrate “130 years of caravanning” by the UK’s National Caravan Council, and was unveiled at their Motorhome and Caravan Show 2015. Watch the video below to get an idea of the detail in this sizable project.
