Are we in a space-time continuum? Or maybe a wormhole to another moment in time? That’s what comes to mind when appreciating Appuru Pai‘s amazing time-released photographs. Using long exposure photography, (the technique of leaving the shutter open for a second up to several hours) this artist captured these images in various locations along the new (fully automated) metro line in Tokyo, the Yurikamome. Appuru shares, “The exposure times aren’t too long (they’re all less than a second), but the speed of the train creates plenty of motion blur — even in daytime.”
