Their first studio album, Please Please Me, was released in the United Kingdom on 22 March 1963. The Beatles have grown to be one of the biggest bands the world has ever seen, and it’s a pleasure to see a band become so loved and revered in the 50 years since releasing their first album. Now this is some brilliant interactive marketing! When they wanted to pump up their slumping mid-day sales, Korean retailer Emart launched a highly unique and creative way to bring customers into the store and get them shopping online… and to do it they harnessed the power of the sun. How did I do it? They created a sculptural piece of marketing art which, much like a sundial, uses the angle of the sun to create a readable QR code at around noon each day. How clever is that??
