French web designer Franck Ernewein has created Tweetping, a unique visualization of tweets posted from all around the world in real time. As tweets happen, Tweetping identifies them with a small flash of light on a map of the Earth. Mappable 3D Data Visualizations in Real-Time

If you ever get tired of boring, flat charts in a presentation, then you may want to look at them in 3D and 4D.  An new application called DataAppeal could make the lives of researchers, students, developers, governments, and business representatives much easier; and their data much more understandable. DataAppeal is web-based application, based off of GoogleMaps, that allows the user to map and complete geographic analysis using data, and visualize it in 3D and 4D models. It allows people to represent data in a new way that makes it easier to understand and actually see. Nuclear Anxiety: Visualized in Real Time

With the situation in Japan just barely under control at the Fukushima Daiichi power plant, anxiety around the world about nuclear power is at elevated levels and the public continues to express their concern. This world map visualization displays the location of nuclear power plants on the globe while automatically updating with the latest “nuclear” mentioning Tweets from a number of different languages. The graphic was created by Art is Open Source, a digitally minded network dedicated to spreading artistic, creative and critical practices.
