Strangely Tasty: Retro Video of Ice Cream (Un)Melting

It’s common knowledge that things get way cooler in slow motion… but what about speeding stuff up in reverse?? That’s what Lullatone, a super happy lo-fi musical duo have done for the video of their latest single. Did we mention ice cream? The retro feast that plays out before our eyes features ice cream “(un)melting” in reverse. A melted banana split grows back into its tasty solid form before our eyes; and a red, white and blue popsicle jumps back onto the stick. It’s all done to the tasty summer tunes of Lullatone set against a grainy vintage film aesthetic.

jules_2

While on the beautiful beaches of Costa Rica, Jules Cazedessus sat with her young nephew talking about the planet and some of the issues affecting it today. Music Video Shows MRI of Artist while Singing

SIVU 2 (1)

In this video directed & edited By Adam Powell, British music artist Sivu goes into an MRI machine, singing his song “Better Man Than He” for an unconventional kind of film. Inspired by the work of a small London Charity called CLEFT, who research children born with cleft palate and lips at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, the artist became “obsessed with the idea of capturing images without conventional cameras/lenses – This seemed like a perfect opportunity to capture something somewhat unique and take a glimpse into an amazing & fascinating world.” With the help of Doctors Marc E. Miquel & Andrew D Scott this music video was made possible. Watching the tongue and brain move as Sivu sings is completely mesmerizing and I’ve been walking around with this cool song stuck in my head ever since.

We’re definitely loving this new and infectious single by South Philly based rapper Lushlife… as much for the creative video as the catchy rhymes. What really makes the video stand out is the creative display of the songs lyrics: all 188 words handmade into 3D cardboard hats.

Blue ‘Quadropus’ in a Stop-Motion Music Video

In this new music video for musician Wax Taylor’s song Time To Go, a crochet “quadropus” swims around the city, happily changing objects to its favorite color: blue. Pretty soon a lot of his world is its favorite hue… but not everything is working out perfectly. The piece was created by Oh Yeah Wow out of Australia. They’re the folks behind Gotye’s similarly cool video for Easy Way Out.
