Andy Rooney once said, “It’s paradoxical that the idea of living a long life appeals to everyone, but the idea of getting old doesn’t appeal to anyone.” UK based photographer Ana Oliveira has used the theme of aging for a fascinating collection called Identity. She takes old photographs of a person, some from as much as 60 years ago, and then takes a new photo in the same pose with similar clothing, much like Irina Werning. Remember “Spirit Week” in high school when there would be a Twin Day and you and your BFF would dress exactly alike? Well that’s kind of what photographer Cheyne Gallarde does for fun! Tumblr will soon be featuring his work on their blog, hence the lead image of Gallard as CEO David Karp. Check out our interview with Gallard after the jump then head over to his Facebook for more twin-tastic images and the latest news for how to be a part of Volume 2! [Read more...]

By photographing American girls with their Mini-me American Girl Dolls, Polish photographer Ilona Szwarc investigates “how culture and society conditions gender and how it invents childhood.” [Read more...]

In our relationships it’s not too uncommon to borrow a t-shirt, some socks or a warm hat from a lover… but what about entirely switching outfits? This entertaining and thought provoking series by Canadian photographer Hana Pesut does just that, encouraging couples to completely exchange their clothing with each other.
