Many people in our modern world feel trapped in the rat race, daily struggling to make ends meet in their constant battle against bills… but for what? For Richard Roberts the answer after he looked around his apartment was simple: he didn’t need all this stuff. Street Photography Meets Breakdancing

Everyone has seen breakdancers on the streets, but not everyone has seen them like this. While breakdancing is often viewed as a street culture, its roots go much deeper than a group of young people doing acrobatics on the street. Carlo Cruz, while not a dancer himself, became inspired when his cousin made a b-boy documentary and asked him to take some stills. From then on he was hooked and his photography continues to transform the street culture into an art form.

Art isn’t always about being beautiful and pleasing to the eye, often it’s made to stirs your heart, and evoke emotion like this European street art does. Featured here are several haunting images of people, including young children, who appear to be homeless in Paris, Rome, Austria, and London.
