Movie Cars We Love: Photographs by Cihan Ünalan

Cars We Love 1

Sometimes the stars of our favorite films aren’t just the kind walking on 2 legs… they’re often the ones with 4 wheels that act as the main focus of famous chase scenes. Take the iconic Batmobile for example. The famous “mobile” has made it through a number of renditions, from the sleek George Barris built custom from the early 60s to the big-wheeled Tumbler of today’s Christopher Nolan directed films. Each one has sparked the imagination of viewers worldwide, inspiring some to create artistic tributes to their iconic forms. Turkish photographer Cihan Ünalan is that kind of fan, and he’s currently making a series of images paying tribute to famous movie cars and “mobiles,” giving us a refined look at their fantastic designs.

Posters That Tell The Whole Story

These one-liner filled movie posters really bring back the silver-screen memories. Graphic designer and creative director Jerod Gibson, created the set using only a silhouette and famous words, yet the posters convey so much. No stranger to the design world, Gibson has worked with such notable clients as Urban Outfitters, New Scientist, Cartoon Network, Dirty Disco Kidz, F. Stokes, Alice, Gerber and General Mills. You can find him and more of his work on twitter.com or facebook.com and purchase his posters at society6.com.
