Napkin Table: For Your Most Awkward Date, EVER

If your first dates aren’t ending up awkward enough, I think we’ve found your solution. The “Napkin Table” is the creation of industrial design students at Tunghai University of Taiwan – a device which loops around you and your partner’s neck, creating a table like eating surface in between. Yes, now any sudden neck/torso motions you were hoping to make are transferred to the tabletop of both you and your date. If romance is on the menu, you might give this invention a miss – unless the apple of your eye has an appetite for humor.

A Moment After Kissing His Subjects, This Photographer Takes a Shot

Jedediah Johnson says he picked up photography as a way to meet girls he could kiss. At first it didn’t go as planned (meeting lots of girls, but kissing none of them), but it sure looks like it’s working now. His series, The Makeout Project is a lip locked affair that sees the Chicago-based artist donning copious amounts of red lipstick and kissing his subjects, both women and men. Shortly after he removes his lips – but before he removes his steadying hand – Jedediah takes his photo.

Excuse Me Sir, You Have a Ferret on Your Face

There’s facial hair, and then there’s strapping a live, sharp clawed animal to your face. Either way it’s pretty manly. That’s the gist behind this 3 part series of photo manipulations that sees various members of the Mustelidae family keeping faces warm (no men or animals were harmed in the making).

The series was created by image production company Electric Art of Sydney for Schick New Zealand and their “Free Your Skin” campaign.

But honestly – if you had a beard this gloriously alive, would you really want to shave it off?

A Day in the Life of Everyday Astronaut

Many of us have had childhood dreams of becoming astronauts, creating space ships out of refrigerator boxes and imagining ourselves flying through space. Photographer Tim Dodd never let his childlike wonder disappear and still has fun playing astronaut. After placing the winning (and only) bid for a Russian high altitude space suit in an RRauction, Dodd began enlisting the help of fellow Redditors to help him come up with amazing ideas for an astronaut suit photo shoot. After months of putting his ideas into action, he has finally released his series, which he calls “A Day in the Life of Everyday Astronaut” on r/Space. Among the pictures are hidden “Easter Eggs” that will delight Space Geeks of all ages- see how many you can spot!

Get a load of all the bizarre hats, objects perfectly balanced on his head and even a few cased where he’s sprouted wings.

Easily the Most Bizarre Used Car Ad You Will See Today

While he could have just said “Buy My Volvo”, a Swedish art director by the name of Castor made a truly bizarre commercial for his aging ’93 Volvo wagon. Filled with a load of over the top glamor shots (including some nice rust patches) the video goes on to give a lengthy description of the cars many, many strange features – from a “curly exhaust” and “Hepatitis B,” to “spinsy whimsies on both sides.” At just 7,500 Kronor (or around $1,100 USD) we think this stunner is gonna go quick.

Seven Tweets. Seven Years. How One Man is Learning Twitter.

To learn something well, you’ve got to have patience. Justin “Bimmer” has that in spades.

He’s tweeted 7 times over the last 7 years… and he’s starting to get the hang of it.

His website isn’t too bad either: Explosions and Boobs (that’s fairly self explanatory).
