To learn something well, you’ve got to have patience. Justin “Bimmer” has that in spades.

He’s tweeted 7 times over the last 7 years… and he’s starting to get the hang of it.

His website isn’t too bad either: Explosions and Boobs (that’s fairly self explanatory). [Read more…]

1-Wan

All over China’s version of Twitter, Weibo, girls have been gushing over the romantic gesture that wedding photographer Wan did for his girlfriend on their 4 year anniversary. He Photoshopped himself into several of her childhood photographs as a goofy addition to her precious moments. Not only did he do a great job photoshopping, he also found clever ways to position himself in each picture as though he was really there. While some might find the pictures a little on the creepy side, it was meant to be an endearing and romantic gesture. [Read more…]

The Softer Side of Infamous Leaders

Chunlong Sun Infamous Leaders Plush Animals 1

There’s nothing more powerful than standing tall, reaching out your arms, and grabbing a teddy bear. I’m pretty sure I heard that somewhere…

Beijing artist Chunlong Sun has taken the likenesses of 5 often-infamous world leaders and put stuffed animals in their world influencing hands. It’s an absolutely bizarre combo that strikes an unlikely balance between making each figure appear far more friendly and sinister at the very same time. What are these? Villains from a James Bond spoof? [Read more…]

Of all the things to come out of Milan Design Week, this is by far my favorite, and I’m pretty sure it’s a table made for the internet. Welcome to the CATable, a bizarre yet beautiful combination of cat furniture and human furniture designed by Ruan Hao for architectural firm LYCS. It’s all fun and games unless your cat is a stealth attack fanatic. [Read more…]

Molly Bishop

Have you ever been irrationally afraid of a murderer hiding in your backseat as you get into your car at night? Has someone annoyingly suggested that you “think positive” at a time when that is obviously not what you’re going to do? These universal situations that we don’t often talk about, but that everyone knows, are the basis for Molly Bishop’s comical one-liner illustrations. Go ahead, find the ones that you’ve thought about… no one will know. [Read more…]

Honest Slogans Show the “Truth” Behind Famous Brands

Honest Slogans Clif Dickens 1

What’s that you say? AXE body spray isn’t getting you all the ladies?? These “honest slogans” are exactly what the ad execs at big corporations don’t want you to think. They spend countless hours pondering how to make their often common brand stand out from the crowd – giving us any possible reason to remember them – and then Clif Dickens comes along to squash it all… or at least make us say “yep, that’s about right.” [Read more…]

These Tortoises are Getting Cozy

Katie Bradley Tortoise Cozies 10

You’ve heard about yarn bombing – it’s been slowly taking over the world – but have you ever heard of yarn bombing tortoises?? Ok, that’s not exactly what artist Katie Bradley is doing (it’s not like random reptiles are roaming around waiting to be decorated… I think) but she is crocheting cozy little costumes for her shelled friends – and they are amazeballs. These Dog Portraits Have Major Personality

Elke Vogelsang Dog Photographs 7

When I ran across Elke Vogelsang’s dog portraits recently, I couldn’t get over how perfectly each one captured the close bond we can have with these canine friends – and the incredibly goofy moments they share too. Using mostly a wide angle lens to capture close ups, she has created an impressive collection that includes her own dogs; Noodles, Scout, and Loli – and now many from clients eager to have her reveal their dogs inner personality. Street art by Plastic Jesus

Is that a huge pile of cocaine, a rolled up twenty dollar bill and an American “Excess” card? It’s not hard to understand why people are bowing down to LA street artist Plastic Jesus and his wonderfully satirical brand of subversive art. His pieces have been springing up around the world, winning him plenty of praise, and doing something truly special: making people laugh and think. [Read more…]
