Some people spend them as soon as they get them; some like to collect as many as they can; some smear dog poop on them and watch from their porch as an unsuspecting victim picks them up, but we prefer the people who cut them up for the sake of art. We’ve seen Scott Campbell transform stacks of money into 3d carvings, Chad Person turned them into military weapons, but these incredible collages by Mark Wagner take the cake. 3D Currency Collages Made From a World of Money
We’ve seen money collages and sculptures plenty of times, from the politically charged works of Chad Person to the 3D carvings of Scott Campbell. One major thing is different about these works however: these are made from different currencies sourced from countries around the world. The effect is quite striking and beautiful, because unlike the monochromatic U.S. currency used in the aforementioned works, these are multi-colored with designs unfamiliar to many eyes. Through their multi-cultural paper source, these works seem to bring forth a message of unity, collaboration and harmony in the world… and the gracefully composed designs send exactly the same message.
