It’s a “Weapon of Mass Instruction”: This Guy Built a Tank Covered in Books

Raul Lemesoff has built a ‘Weapon of Mass Instruction.’ His mobile sculpture (‘Arma De Instruccion Masiva’ in Spanish) looks a lot like a military tank as it’s driving down the streets of Buenos Aires, but when it comes to a stop its army green sides are filled with books. Lemesoff is on a mission to distribute books throughout the city and the rest of Argentina, and the only thing he asks when you get a book is that you promise to read it.

Mirror Selfies You Will Actually Enjoy Looking At

There are times when procrastination can be a good thing. To avoid writing her bachelor’s thesis, Norwegian born, Washington D.C.-based Helene Meldahl began doodling, but not on paper like most people. She put her doodles on mirrors and inserted herself into them via selfies to make her world more fun. Meldahl used chalk, posca, and acrylic and began doing a selfie artwork every day. The 26 year old goes by the name @mirrorsme on Instagram and has garnered quite a following this week after self-posting her work to BoredPanda.

You might find yourself thumbing through Da Vinci sketches late into the night, pondering how he imagined so many world changing ideas before they could even be realized. You might lose yourself for hours down a rabbit hole of Wikipedia exploration initiated by Isaac Asimov’s affinity for small spaces. That’s why I think this series of animated GIFs will not fail to amuse… nor will the exquisite series of T-shirts that inspired them.

Momentage: A Community for the New Creatives

When we all saw the awesome new idea of Instagram hitting the scene like it did a few years ago, it has always been hard to imagine someone creating something to rival it. While some have ripped off the idea, designed it somewhat differently, and slapped a new name on it, feeling like they’ve added to the conversation, in reality, they may be missing the point. They’re just repeating the person who spoke before them. This is not the case with San Francisco based startup Momentage. Momentage is a community for the new creatives.
