Dogs Take the Best Portraits After You Feed Them Peanut Butter

What did we do to deserve dogs? The question’s been asked in a handful of corners across the labyrinth internet, and it’s one of my favorites. Dogs will watch you off to work like a doted spouse, greet you at the door like a long-lost friend (even after only a day or an hour), and pretty much all around bring an indefinite joy into the lives of owners and community alike. Plus, damn, dogs make the silliest, most adorable faces.

Award-winning photographer Greg Murray‘s series For the Love of Peanut Butter captures man’s best friends in their most screwball of antics—after being fed peanut butter. The plan is simple: Feed dogs their favorite messy treat and snap away. The series has become so beloved, it’s set to become a photo book and calendar later this year.

While For the Love of Peanut Butter is aimed at making people smile and laugh, Murray is very much dedicated to animal rescue and adoption. The animal advocate volunteers with The Cleveland APL, Friends of The Cleveland Kennel, Muttley Crue Animal Rescue, and a number of other rescue organizations around Cleveland.
