New York-based designer Troy Huang has been hard at work creating a handcrafted map of Manhattan that functions as an incredibly unique desk. An enormous amount of time went into 3D printing and laser-cutting each building starting at the World Trade Center and finishing part way through Central Park.
The island itself is surrounded by a relief map of the Hudson and East River, covered in clear acrylic to create watery reflections. Beneath the mini metropolis are multi-color LED lights to illuminate the buildings and the room beyond.
You can see more images of the beautiful desk, and of Huang’s design and construction process, in his gallery shared on imgur.
Want a desk of your own? Don’t worry, for a cool $25,000 it can be yours.
