The ‘power of the crop’ is well known, and nobody does it better than your typical Instagram user. We’re all guilty of cutting out the less wonderful aspects of our photography to highlight the best part, and this clever series from Bangkok-based photographer Chompoo Baritone point that out in a most amusing way.
Her images show a perfectly framed Instagram screenshot on top of a larger image… one that reveals far more going on outside the frame.
The project, called Slow Life, is just the reality check we need when scrolling through that endless feed of perfectly framed and filtered Instagram images (and perhaps starting to feel a bit inadequate). Her images playfully remind us that there’s always more to the story. Find more on Facebook.
