George W has never looked more fab than in Saint Hoax’s history re-defining series War Drags You Out. The idea came to the artist after attending a drag show for the first time and deconstructing the components that went into a proper drag queen.

Saint Hoax’s recipe:

  1. Flamboyant name
  2. Fierce persona
  3. Defining outfits
  4. Personalized hairdo
  5. A trademark feature
  6. One hell of a PR team

Hm… that seemed a lot like the effort needed to make a world leader…

“A rush of images containing Hitler’s mustache, Bin laden’s headgear, Obama’s campaigns, Saddam’s narcism crossed through my mind. It got me thinking that behind every ‘great’ man, there’s a queen.”

And so Saint Hoax set to work creating the images you see here, “rewriting history through visual lies” that provoke at the same time that they amuse. Find out more about this irreverent artist at sainthoax.com.
