Scopophilia: A Postcard-Sized Collage Exhibition

Wednesday 09.04.2013 , Posted by

Now live, Scopophilia is an online exhibition of postcard-sized collages. Launched at the tail end of July, the exhibit is presented in the form of a blog, where two works are posted to the site every day.

The project was an open call for submissions to collage artists that resulted in over 100 entries from all over the place, including Israel, Mexico, Japan, America, Canada, Uk, France, Belgium, Netherlands, and Germany.

Conceived and curated by British artist Theo Miller, Scopophilia is showcasing contemporary collage while also creating a cohesive community of collage artists worldwide. Miller is passionate about the medium of collage itself, and the ways by which it has challenged mainstream art throughout history.

The exhibition is presently online only, though it will be shown live in Leicester, UK later this year at a venue to be confirmed.
