Much like the honeycomb vessels of artist Tomáš Libertíny, Dewar’s has come up with a fascinating way to celebrate their new Highlander Honey Whiskey. Dewar’s teamed up with The Ebeling Group and Sid Lee Creative Studio for a project that they call “3B Printing” where they placed 80,000 highlander honey bees into a clear, bottle shaped vessel which guided them to create a bottle shaped honeycomb. The bees were given a starter blueprint where they could gather nectar and pollen as they would in their natural environment and got busy, like the bees that they are, making the honey that is the key ingredient of Dewar’s new product. When the bottle shaped honeycomb was complete, the outer plastic layer was removed to reveal the highlanders’ 3-B bottle. The process is un-bee-lievable, but you can check it out in the video bee-low.
