It’s very rare to find something that brings tears to your eyes and makes you smile from ear to ear at the same time, but I found it in this heartwarming video. It has always made me feel so powerless to see a homeless person starving on the street and know that I don’t have the means to help them, but this video shows that it doesn’t cost much to make someone’s life brighter. Emilio Aparicio Rodriguez took it upon himself to make sure that a homeless woman named Andrea Chaparro and her dog did not go unnoticed. With just a donut birthday cake, a yellow hat and a birthday song, he gave Andrea a gift that she will remember for the rest of her life: compassion. Although this video is in Spanish, it speaks a universal language to your heart when you see the smile of true appreciation.

Seeing this video reminded me of a quote that author Ben Sweetland once said: “We cannot hold a torch to light another’s path without brightening our own.” The more joy we bring into others’ lives, the more happiness and fulfillment we will find in our own. Let this video inspire you to do something kind for someone who really needs it.

  1. The point of life is to live it.. Not play it on a video game screen or obsess watching it on television. It is 99% more fun when one actually does it.(1% is its credit for entertainment.)

Only boring people get bored and stay bored. Cure to boredom is curiosity. Imagination is key to extreme fun.

Loyalty to truth is assurance that one’s life is being lived the way it is suppose to be lived.

Humans are slowly destroying all nature. Nature provides the oxygen we need to stay alive and survive. For every tree one destroys…plant 2 more. Replace and add some more for the grace.
