According to the Can Manufacturers Institute, aluminum cans are the most recycled and most recyclable beverage container in the world with an amazing 105,784 cans being recycled every minute nationwide. But Japanese artist Makaon is taking recycling into his own hands by transforming his aluminum cans into astounding sculptures. It’s hard to imagine how much patience and how many band-aids it has taken for Makaon to make each of these incredibly detailed miniature replicas of famous cartoon characters, superheroes, animals, and more out of used soda and beer cans. Check out the entire collection that Makaon has produced with this creative hobby on his website.
