India: A Colorful Country in Black & White

India is unlike any other country in the world. Boasting over 1.2 billion people in a country only 1/3 the size of the United States, it is a place of many cultures, environments and fascinations. Constantly changing yet steady, India cannot be contained in a box. Indeed one has to travel, experience and spend more than a few weeks there to truly experience what this unique place has to offer.

Our friends at Abduzeedo have collected a diverse collecting of photos by local photographers from the country that paint a picture of daily life in black and white. Though a country full of color (especially during the festival of Holi), these black and white images capture a beautiful story about the many ways people are going about their lives.
