The legacy of James Bond lives on. With the treasured franchise now reaching its 50th anniversary and the new feature film, Skyfall  preparing to hit studios; there’s no better time to take a closer look at the Bond legacy — especially when it comes to his vehicles and gadgets. We all know James Bond was known for his ability to seduce the most bombshell vixens the planet has ever seen, but he was also known for having the hottest rides and coolest gadgets – all decked out with the most high tech and often impractical weaponry ever needed for any situation.

When something works, you just don’t mess with it, period. Of all Bond’s rides throughout the decades, none have come close to having the impact which the Aston Martin has had on the films. One of our favorites was the Aston Martin DB5 featured in Goldfinger (1964) and Thunderball (1965). It came equipped with the classic Q upgrades: machine guns behind the indicator lights, bulletproof shields, oil slick shooters, and a passenger side ejector seat. Pretty groovy.

He’s also got men’s fashion statement pieces down to a science. Over the years, Bond’s watches have been increasingly fitted with the latest spy technology. The man wears the most expensive watches on the planet so that the villains know he means business, and wouldn’t be caught dead wearing anything except for a Rolex, Omega, Seiko or Breitling watch. Make sure to thoroughly scope out all of Bond’s vehicles and gadgets below.
