Minimalist Icons: Famous Painters to Guess

Calling all art history buffs… have we got a challenge for you! Coded into each of these minimalist posters is a famous artist from the pages of history; whether that be the pages of antiquity, modern art or even current masters on display.

The folks at reamble.com came up with the stimulating concept as a follow-up to their equally interesting series, Iconic T.V. Shows to Guess. Each image features three graphical representations of an artists work, ranging from examples of their signature subject matter to stylistic cues. A good portion of the hint in each image, especially with the more modern artists, is the color schemes each artist often favored.

After you have pondered the artist behind each of these images, you will find their name by rolling your curser over the image. Find the entire 3 part series of 24 images at reamble.com.
