Souvenirs: Iconic Spots Remade by the Gift Shop

It seems like Michael Hughes has been all over the world… and he has the souvenirs to prove it. This London based traveler has been journeying far and wide, checking out landmarks both famous and forgotten. When he finds a good one, he hits the gift shop and finds something he can use to replace part of the iconic scene in his image — a toy Eiffel Tower, a blow-up London Bus, a shell from the Camino de Santiago — he’s covered a lot of iconic spots, but there are still many to go.

Hughes is selling his artwork to continue his adventures and along with it the Souvenirs series. Because he writes an interesting story along with many of his images, you get to read the unique experience which went along with many of the images that you can buy… not something that often comes with a single photograph. Interested in more of this cool series? Head to his flickr page for the majority of his huge collection or visit his personal website for his currently available photos.
