Thom Yorke & Coachella by the numbers for OC Weekly

It’s Coachella month! Did you get your tickets yet? This week OC Weekly came out with an awesome article featuring infographics about the music festival. There you can find out the breakdown of genres, how many bands have been in each year’s lineup, attendance for each day, safety precautions, and more.

The magazine cover was a mosaic portrait of Radiohead’s Thom Yorke created out of data related to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival by Charis Tsevis. The Greek graphic artist “tried to steal something from the characteristic sunset colors of Southern California” in his color choice for the piece. It was made with “custom developed scripts, hacks and lots of love, using [his] Mac, Synthetik Studio Artist, the Adobe Creative Suite and good music.”

I am always amazed with every piece of art Tsevis produces, including my icon below! Check out more of his work on his Flickr.
