Baseball season has started folks. For the next half of the year, all 30 teams will compete to be in the World Series for a final showdown of two stellar MLB teams. Two years ago, famous pitcher Brian Wilson helped lead his team, the San Francisco Giants, to a World Championship. Some say it was his concentration that won the World Series, some say it was his strong arm, and some say it was his Beard.
Brian Wilson’s beard has gained popular notoriety around the United States and the world… even becoming more popular than Brian Wilson himself. When Fear the Beard became the mantra chant of 2010, everyone started growing beards and making fake ones, and just last week Virgin America released a “Bearded Plane!” We here at Visual News thought as the baseball season commences once again, we do a status update on Brian Wilson’s beard and take a look back at the evolution of it’s growth and sphere of influence. There’s no denying it, the beard will enter the hall of fame, along with Brian. Rollie Fingers brought the mustache, Brian Wilson brings the beard. Good times.
