Sometimes the most simple ideas give you a good laugh — the things we often think but don’t say, the truths we know but don’t pass on. Matt Stevenson of Fathom Creative and Chelsea Fagan of Thought Catalog, took a little time out of their busy days to push those thoughts to the surface with a handful of “Honest Ads.” From a soggy bowl of Rice Krispies, to a comparison of Starbucks to crack, their ads punch you in the face with honesty.

The ads are reminiscent of the 1990 Dudley Moore movie Crazy People.  In the movie Emory Leeson goes crazy, ends up in a mental institution and then with the help of the other wackos there, comes up with incredibly effective ads by being honest.  If Matt Stevenson started producing real ads for his clients like these, perhaps he would be even more successful in the ad world.  Either way, thanks Matt and Chelsea for a good laugh.
