Liquid Photos By Super Dad

It’s a bird…It’s a plane… It’s Super Dad! Looking at the amazing photo above of Superman in a drop of water, you would think that it was taken by someone who studied photography for most of his/her life, but in fact, Markus Reugels picked up this hobby (on the side of his full-time parquet laying job) just three years ago. The 33 year old father of two embarked on his photography journey after the birth of his son, in hopes of taking some nice pictures for his family album. This ignited a passion and with time it developed (pun intended!) into a lovely pastime. Soon he started down the path of High Speed Macrophotography, which is now his favorite genre, because “it can show beautiful things that we don’t consider in our lives when we can’t see them with our eyes.” He captures incredibly impressive shapes, colors, and images within each drop of liquid. Markus has a natural knack for taking amazing aqueous photos that make this rookie one of the best in the field.

Be sure to check out Markus’ entire collection and learn more about his technique for each shot on his Flickr and personal website.
