This adorable pangram was created by UK-based artist Mark Long. The Anim-alphabet is a series of linocut letters. This printmaking technique involves cutting a design into a linoleum surface with a sharp knife so that the raised (uncarved) portion is a mirror image of the desired design, followed by inking with a roller, and impressing the image onto the chosen medium.
The best part about each letter is that it is represented by an animal that begins with it. For example, ACE would be spelled Ape-Crocodile-Elephant. The artist’s attention to detail in choosing the perfect positions to transform each animal into its’ corresponding letter is truly remarkable.
