It is always such a pleasure to discover a new artist and get a glimpse into the beautiful and creative nature of their psyches. 20 year old, French photographer, Olga Valeska grants us this opportunity through her dramatic and fantastical photography. She most often models for her own work, many times using whatever is at hand as a tripod to capture magical, romantic, and fascinating images. Valeska finds inspiration from her own subconscious and from the universe around her. Viewing her beautiful photographs, it is clear that her work is influenced and filled by symbolism, romanticism, the baroque and fantasy. A favorite quote of hers is from Novalis, an author, philosopher and poet of early German Romanticism. It describes her works most aptly: “To romanticize the world is to make us aware of the magic, mystery and wonder of the world…” Thank you, Olga for sharing your beautiful imagination with us!
Olga Valeska has received a Silver award from Dabomba for her unique and creative talent. You can find her on Facebook, and Flickr.
