Camer1 (better known as Cameron Moberg) is one of the most unique graffiti artists in San Francisco today. Camer1 serves and loves the San Francisco community where he has lived most of his life and where he has developed his graffiti art on the streets. He doesn’t have to run from the police for tagging some abandoned city walls (though those adolescent days may have existed..) but rather Camer1 gets commissioned to create some beautiful graffiti murals…and that is just what Camer1 wants to do: to paint and express his art. Through his art, he hopes to communicate messages of hope, love and unity.
Camer1 isn’t just an artist solely. His main mission is helping children in the SOMA (South of Market) district of San Francisco. Drug abuse, homelessness, over-crowded housing, gangs and crimes – are everyday problems found in parts of the SOMA area. Camer1 and his organization City Crossroads have been helping kids there for over 10 years. It’s his main passion and his passion is expressed through his art, his poetry, his music, his lifestyle.
