We all want to make the world a better place, and one of the best ways is with your fork. Next time you hit the grocery market you’ll have two ethical food choices: buying local or buying fair trade. These two philosophies of how we acquire our food both have their benefits and drawbacks so Column Five along with Ethical Ocean put together this excellent graphic to help guide your decision.   1. And the conclusion / advice is?

    What surely would add really value to this graphic is helping the reader make the right choices.

    For example:

    Buy your fresh veg/fruit locally when in season. Buy them fairtrade when out of season. That way you support both causes, making the most out of each one’s strength.
