Bigger Than Ever: The American Dream, Stretched

Taking old postcards and stretching them, digital artist Assaf Shaham creates world skyscrapers and monuments that are far larger (well… taller) than life. Titled ‘The American Dream’ (an interesting choice considering some subjects are far from the States), one of the more interesting features of the series is that, since the originals are from color prints, any distortion in color or it’s offset in printing is magnified by the stretching, creating bright distorted rainbows. Godspeed! Typographical Poster Made With Bicycle Parts

This poster is made in a highly unique way, as the typography is made up completely of bicycle parts. Studio On Fire inked up almost every piece of a bicycle, from cranks to handlebars and then pressed them on paper. These master shapes were then digitally scanned and arranged to spell out Godspeed. A Rainbow of Tiny Translucent Creatures

Japanese artist Iori Tomita turns these little creatures of the sea into bright translucent pieces of art. He calls his process “New World Transparent Specimens” and the intensive process can take up to 5 months for a complete piece. Nothing could get you more warmed up for the festival that is Burning Man like a moving sculpture of a bicyclist on fire. Jonathan Buckmaster calls the self described “kinetic pyro-sculpture,” which he built himself, “Riding Man.” He brought it out to Burning Man in 2006 and 2009 and has since decided to retire the concept.
