Nothing could get you more warmed up for the festival that is Burning Man like a moving sculpture of a bicyclist on fire. Jonathan Buckmaster calls the self described “kinetic pyro-sculpture,” which he built himself, “Riding Man.” He brought it out to Burning Man in 2006 and 2009 and has since decided to retire the concept. This post has special place in my heart because I will be out at Burning Man in just a few days!

Warning: the audio is horrendous in these videos. We suggest you turn down the volume.

  1. That is awesome. Apparently the world record human burn time is 3 minutes and 27 seconds, but under similar conditions someone apparently went over 5 minutes.

  2. I like this – but I do not know why.

  3. Heya i am for the primary time here. I came across this board and I to find It really helpful & it helped me out much. I am hoping to provide something again and aid others such as you helped me.

  4. That is wild, what an amazing concept. Have a great time at Burning Man!
