From the introduction of the Macintosh in 1984 to the iMac in 1998, Apple Inc. has introduced industry changing design and thinking that continues to change how we interact with our computers, music, phones and more. No other electronics company can claim the sometimes cultish popularity of their products along with their famously thoughtful and user-friendly design. This graphic created by the folks at Mashable looks at the highs and lows of the company through the years, beginning with their first DIY Apple computer and ending with the most recently released iPad 2. Disney Princesses In Accurate Period Costume

Most of the world seems familiar with the famous Disney princesses, from Snow White to Pocahontas their likenesses are burned into our memory, fan or not. What makes them so iconic? Many would argue it was their lavish and flowing costumes, based on historical fashion. But just how correct are those period fashionable dresses? Claire Hummel, an illustrator with a passion for historically accurate costuming recently reworked many of the famous ladies, giving them new garb fitting a stylish member of their periods society. A newly identified crocodile species that lived 70 million years ago had very big teeth and a dog-shaped head—and used its long limbs to chase down prey. Word: The Bible Summarized by Design

Jim Lepage had been reading his bible on and off for most of his life… the problem was, he didn’t always want to read it. Looking for motivation to encourage his spiritual practice, he decided to combine something he loved, design, with the challenge of reading the text more often. He set down a goal to create one image a week based on what he found entertaining and meaningful in each of the bibles many books… and so far he’s kept the creativity flowing. We’ve seen a lot of unusual ways to represent infographics lately, from in-the-field visualization tool-kits to a DIY stencil for pie-charts, it seems the ways to represent data is nearly limitless. This new advertisement for Canadian organization Active for Life, sees school children using their bodies to demonstrate the dwindling level of fitness in Canadian schools.
