Otherworldly Illustrations From A Slovak Master

I find the fine illustrations of renowned Slovak artist Albín Brunovský (1935-1997) both beautiful and disturbing in their otherworldly appearance. Sailing ships, trees and masses of small distorted figures combine with larger landscapes and even hairstyles… reminding me of the giant with a ship on his head in the movie Time Bandits or the iconic painting Garden of Earthly Delights by master painter Hieronymus Bosch. Read more about the excellent Brunovský, his life and legacy here.
