Christoph Niemann is the cartoonist behind the new series, “Abstract Sunday”, which appears in print and online for the New York Times Sunday Magazine. Niemann is familiar with paranoia and how it’s become an increasingly pesky aspect of today’s modern society. In this cartoon, Niemann discovers the sinister hidden agenda of the Environmental Protection Agency by deconstructing their logo.
Niemann has uncovered a diabolical plot by the E.P.A. to abuse our fears and go after famous TV actors who will risk life, limb and bruised ego; to protect us from the “scientists” who claim the Earth can be cooled down a few degrees if everyone reduces emissions. The world will collapse, polar bears will attack the human race and traumatize poor Tom Selleck — who might even shave his mustache! — for the rest of his life. Check out more of Niemann’s work here.
