Known in some circles as the most amazing man in the universe, he once saved an entire family of muskrats from a sinking, fire engulfed steamboat while recovering from two broken arms relating to a botched no-chute wingsuit landing in North Korea. When not impressing people with his humbling humility, he can be found freelance writing, finding shiny objects on the internet, enjoying the company of much-appreciated friends and living out his nomadic nature. 1. There’s no Full Metal Jacket Director’s commentary, since you know Stanley Kubrick wouldn’t have recorded one but also he was dead before the movie was released on DVD. So I guess your little cartoon cinephile is a poser.

  2. Arthur Dentsays:

I’m a technophile. I don’t care about any of that other stuff, but I do obsess over aspect ratio, especially when the aspect ratio is incorrect. People always stretch out 4:3 material to 16:9 to “get more picture”. How can people watch something where everyone looks like Danny DeVito, and round objects are now ovals? How do that not drive other people crazy?! Do they have vision problems? Brain damage? HOW CAN THEY NOT SEE THAT IT’S WRONG?!

  3. Chrissays:

Kubrick doesn’t have a commentary track on “Full Metal Jacket”…

  4. @Arthur, that is by far my favorite tech rant of the year haha
