For Christmas this year the folks at North Point Community Church in Georgia wanted to mix things up a bit. Using borrowed iPhones and iPads, they formed an “iBand” and performed the traditional bell choir song “The Carol of the Bells” using only the Apple devices. Merry iChristmas!

The apps used for the performance included: SoundGrid, NLogFree, Melody Bell, Guitarist (Nylon String), iGog (MoreVox Acoustic 1 sound, drums), Bassist (bass), Guitarist (Electric)

  1. This is awesome!! Where can we get a high quality version of the songs??

  2. This is amazing!

  3. I would never have imagined it could happen, but the keytar has been replaced. The iPad is now the gayest instrument ever.

  4. it is a good video and a decent performance. it entertained me and that was the point. Apple products are really a pity. I really do like the hardware. But I can’t buy their products any longer. I just can not live with the apple philosophy is dictating what I can and can not do with my property. I just can not agree with that I can not condone that.

Neither should anyone else. I hope eventually people wake up (yeah I know I am dreaming) and realize this is wrong.

that apple should be boycotted – put out of business – unless they stop dictating what people can do with their property.

Its MY property. I decide what it can and can not do. NOT the manufacturer. any manufacturer that defies this I have no interest in.

They don’t have to HELP me do what I want but it should be ILLEGAL and IS Immoral to actively try to STOP ME from doing what I want with my property.

  5. Wow totally awesome.

  6. Ok, so how do groupies tell who the “COOL” guy is when they ALL play the same instrument?

This will surely redefine how we regard music lessons, how about “band practice”?

Very good music, I enjoyed your display of talent.

  7. What drum app is that…?

  8. This is awesome, thank you !!

  9. To the guys of iBand: phenomenal job. I am absolutely impressed with their talent. It warms my heart, and it’s an excellent display of the advancement of technology. Apple, thank you for your products and for your creativity.

  10. What apps did you use to make all of the songs? I just got an iPad and this is REALLY cool! (especially the awesome green robot guy in feliz navidad) YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME.

  11. It reminds me of the Atari days 22 years ago. The Hotz box was very similar and ran on a Atari with only 4Mb or ram and built in Midi ports!!

  14. My son told me 20 years ago that computerand have been trying ever since. After watching this video that a friend sent me, I realized what my son was trying to tell me. This is so amazing!!! I was just blown away by the genius of the musicians, to be able to learn the musical notes of the pieces they were playing. How amazing is that? I loved it!! This is what America does. A person takes a product and makes it better!!! Thank you for your creativity and innovation.

  19. With havin so much content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright violation? My site has a lot of unique content Ive either created myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my authorization. Do you know any solutions to help prevent content from being ripped off? Id certainly appreciate it.
