Bringing life to common text, Kinetic typography lends captivating emotion to our reading, which when combined with interesting lyrics or monologue, can have a profound effect. The format however, has become quite standerdized and predictable, with each new iteration seeming to copy the last. Here are three examples we feel stand out from the crowd:

This new music video for Jonathan Coulton’s Shop Vac was created using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere and Toon Boom Animate. To set it apart, it uses creatively mimicked logos and individually animated characters.

Bold agency and Asktomato.com animation studio presents a clip of The Beatles song “Help!” featuring a little robot in trouble.

Based on the 1938 radio broadcast of War of the Worlds, narrated by Orson Welles, this video uses dynamic lighting, focus shifting and text characters individually animated for a very effective and unique look.
